KBH Digital transport Wi-Fi solutions provide access to international traveller and rail commuter audiences

KBH Digital has partnered with National Express, the UK’s largest provider of scheduled coach services, to deliver advertising solutions via on-board Wi-Fi and transport entertainment portals.
KBH Digital will enable brands to connect with coach users via Wi-Fi and entertainment portal VUER (View, Unwind, Enjoy, Relax), which is being rolled out across the fleet after a successful trial period. During the trial, 50% of customers on vehicles equipped with the Wi-Fi and entertainment portal used the services.
The roll-out will deliver Wi-Fi and portal access to half the coach fleet in November 2016, with the rest of the fleet – both National Express and The Kings Ferry brands, 622 vehicles in total – equipped by summer 2017. User numbers are expected to reach 600,000 by December 2016.
KBH Digital’s advertising platform, Union Street, enables advertisers to target specific audiences while they are on the move, taking information including location, behaviour, demographics, lifestyle and context to build a detailed picture of audiences for brands. Advertising, which includes display, video and sponsorship, can be served according to who people are, where they’ve been, and where they’re going.
National Express’ unmistakable network of coaches provides crucial cost-effective travel between key UK locations, linking major airports, rail stations, cities and towns. With 19 million passenger journeys undertaken each year, the improved on-coach connectivity will provide its varied and diverse audience, from commuters to students and festival-goers, with a modern travel experience.
